Crazily enough, this isn't my first "blog" or first social networking site that I have joined. Back when online networking started to become popular, I had created sites on Kiwibox, LiveJournal, hi5, MySpace, Xanga, and Facebook.
So why start a new blog?
Basically, I wanted to devote this entirely to my musings, which I will focus on in my writings. Yes, my actual writings which I hope will be published some day. I graduated college a few months ago and am now an aspiring novelist/screenwriter/playwright. I take inspiration mostly from Jane Austen, Robert Riskin, and Oscar Hammerstein. Go me!
Right now I am working on a 19th century Victorian novel. I won't go into details for security reasons, but it's an interesting look into life in England of that era. I've been doing a lot of research on the matter, and I'll probably be posting a lot of facts and insights on the matter as my research progresses. Who knows-- maybe I'll incorporate it into my book (or a subsequent endeavor).
At the risk of rambling even further, I'll end this entry with an abrupt finish.
Yours Always,
Darcie Bennett
